Insights and actions Explored the potential of new two-way interactive electronic selling media as alternatives to the printed catalog. These explorations included a multitude of digital formats as well as the earliest tests of interactive television. Identified the Internet as the most promising and best fit for the company and presented a complete website conception, design and development plan for integrating the new medium for real time selling of the entire Lands' End inventory.
As a result, the company approved the development of the first website in the catalog industry to sell clothing on line. The site went live in July of 1995 and today represents more than one-half of the company's multi-billion dollar product sales. Key clients involved |
